Retreat Terms & Conditions

Your Retreat place is secured and reserved by paying a minimum 10% non-refundable deposit per guest. This deposit is non-transferable.

  1. Payment of deposit is agreement to book and pay for the event in full. In the event you need to cancel, please refer to cancellation policy below.

  2. The balance payment is due no later than 16 weeks prior to the retreat (an exact date will be given for the retreat you book). If we do not receive your balance payment, your place may be given to another guest.

  3. Bookings made less than 16 weeks prior to an event must be paid for in full at the time of booking.

  4. Due to teacher cancellations or any other situations outside our control, we reserve the right to make any changes to our programme, courses or teachers. Alternative arrangements will be offered, but we do not accept responsibility for any costs incurred, including airfare and travel plans.

  5. We accept no liability for loss, damage, injury or illness whilst you are on the retreat with us, or for any travel costs to or from the retreat site.

  6. We strongly recommend that you have your own travel insurance to cover any loss or injury, including repatriation if necessary.

  7. Passports, visas and health/medical requirements: you are responsible for ensuring that you have a valid passport and any necessary visas, as well as any necessary or required inoculations or other health requirements.

  8. We accept no responsibility for travel tickets such as airfares and trains. This is solely the guest’s responsibility to organise and inform us only of an accurate arrival time

  9. We are exempt from fulfilling our contractual obligations for causes that could not be anticipated and/or are beyond our control, including an act of God, act of man, act of parliament, and other impersonal events or occurrences. 

  10. We will not knowingly give your personal information to anybody else (except where required to do so by authorities). We will retain your information and from time to time we may contact you with promotional or retreat related information. If you do not wish to be contacted about this, please let us know at any time.

  12. In no case shall we, our directors, officers, employees, affiliates, agents, contractors, interns, suppliers, service providers or licensors be liable for any injury, loss, claim, or any direct, indirect, incidental, punitive, special, or consequential damages of any kind, including, without limitation lost profits, lost revenue, lost savings, loss of data, replacement costs, or any similar damages, whether based in contract, tort (including negligence), strict liability or otherwise, arising from your use of any of the service or any products procured using the service, or for any other claim related in any way to your use of the service or any product, including, but not limited to, any errors or omissions in any content, or any loss or damage of any kind incurred as a result of the use of the service or any content (or product) posted, transmitted, or otherwise made available via the service, even if advised of their possibility. Because some states or jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or the limitation of liability for consequential or incidental damages, in such states or jurisdictions, our liability shall be limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.

  13. You agree to indemnify, defend and hold harmless Events Unwound and our parent, subsidiaries, affiliates, partners, officers, directors, agents, contractors, licensors, service providers, subcontractors, suppliers, interns and employees, harmless from any claim or demand, including reasonable attorneys’ fees, made by any third-party due to or arising out of your breach of these Terms of Service or the documents they incorporate by reference, or your violation of any law or the rights of a third-party.

  14. In the event that any provision of these Terms of Service is determined to be unlawful, void or unenforceable, such provision shall nonetheless be enforceable to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, and the unenforceable portion shall be deemed to be severed from these Terms of Service, such determination shall not affect the validity and enforceability of any other remaining provisions.

Cancellation Policy

Deposits are non-refundable. 

If you are unable to attend the retreat we will do our best to fill your spot. If cancellation occurs less than 16 weeks prior to the retreat we will try our best to fill your spot and if we are successful we can refund you the cost less the deposit or where available transfer your booking to a future retreat date. If we are not successful in filling your space, no part of the retreat fee will be refundable. 

We recommend that you consider getting cancellation insurance in case of illness, injury or other unforeseen circumstances. This includes cancellation due to being unable to comply with our COVID policies or those of our venue. 

In the unlikely event that Events Unwound has to cancel the retreat you will receive a full refund of the retreat fee. We will not be held liable for any other costs or expenses that you may incur.

Once the retreat has commenced, no refund or part refund or unused portion of your retreat will be repaid in the event of cancellation by you. Please note that no alterations to the price of the retreat can be made if you are not able to attend the whole retreat.
